In recent years, Augmented Reality has clearly shown its value within marketing & advertising sectors. Some of the most engaging marketing campaigns of last year featured elements of AR.

Virtual product try-on

AR can give customers the ability to try products on before making buying decisions. This example of sunglasses try-on is a great example of this functionality at work.

Product showcasing

Samsung recently showcased their newest product innovations in an online event using Web-based Augmented Reality. Viewers were able to take a look at phones, fridges and computer monitors all in full 3D AR.

Consumer marketing

Popular Spiked Seltzer brand BON V!V launched their Out-of-Home Advertising campaign which also used Web-based Augmented Reality to increase engagement with their OOH ads. Passersby could scan the activation QR code and experience their interactive 3D vending machine which dispensed their favorite flavors with associated custom animations and audio.
