Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush have recently announced that the Professor and Director of the Division of Spine Surgery and the Section of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Frank Phillips, has completed the world's first AR minimally invasive spine surgery at the center, using Augmedics’ xvision Spine System surgical guidance technology.

TeamViewer, a provider of secure remote connectivity solutions, has signed a definitive contract to acquire Ubimax, a provider of wearable computing and AR solutions for frontline workers. TeamViewer hopes that with this acquisition, they can significantly expand their AR and Internet of Things (IoT) and provide industry-specific solutions for enterprise customers.
