patial has recently released some useful feature updates for all users on Quest, Hololens, Magic Leap devices, desktop and mobile.

The company continues to explode in the era of remote work, with 10X increase in usage since the launch of the Quest 2 in September.

[nofollow]Spatial has designed an auditorium that seats 40+ people - to be used for anything from lectures, conferences, to all hands environments.

Additional updates include:

New Integrations & Supported File Types:

Microsoft Office Suite files supported (2D files: .DOC, .PPT, .XLS)

Google Drive, OneDrive & SharePoint integrations - Link your existing cloud services and easily pull in files into Spatial

3D Model Updates:

Real-life scale for 3D models to quickly adjust models to their actual size

Controller Updates:

Improved hand tracking - Teleport to a seat or hotspots in the Quest VR environments + move objects with the thumbstick

Content:

Improved text readability on documents

Autosave for all rooms

Larger room boundary to allow for bigger group scenarios 

All MP4 videos now come with looping support

Improved pin button - hides “X” button when engaged. Pinned (locked) objects cannot be closed or edited

Avatar interaction improvements:

Including more responsive fist bumps

Tech Advancements:

Latest Oculus SDK

ARKit meshing and occlusion on lidar-enabled devices

The company is continuously expanding their remote work offering and are seeing a wide range of industries utilising Spatial’s tools, including experiences and training, educational seminars, enterprise product reviews, and even government agencies and medical departments for Covid specific research.
