n a recent press release, [nofollow]Vodafone, a British multinational telecommunications company, launched an immersive Web AR direct mail campaign with the innovative web-based AR agency Aircards

The Web AR experience is activated by simply scanning a QR code with your smartphone device. Once activated, users are presented with the image tracked Augmented Reality experience, promoting Vodafone's current special offer targeted towards existing customers.

The special offer is redeemed with the Vodafone app, so users are presented with Call-to-Action buttons to both the iOS and Android app stores to encourage app downloads. 

Alongside an engaging consumer focused Web AR experience, Vodafone are able to monitor the performance of their direct mail experience through the use of the Aircards WebAR analytics dashboard, offering significant insights into the campaign. 

This style of Web AR direct mail has been used by a range of brands who are starting to see the true value that augmented reality can bring to their businesses.
